Jake Penrod in "Hank Williams....Remembered"

Jefferson's Opera House Theatre Players will present Jake Penrod in "Hank Williams....Remembered."

Regarded as one of the best "tribute" artists of the late, great country star, Penrod hails from East Texas and has been perfecting his performance of Williams as well as other country greats since he was six years old. His costuming replicates the "western" style glitter of the early Hank Wiliams years when he traveled this part of the country singing his songs on streets corners in many little towns - including Jefferson.

According to the Players artistic director, Marcia Thomas, Penrod is "almost the spittin' image of Hank on stage and absolutely sings just like him. I was amazed!", she said.

The show will bring back the pure country songs made famous by Wiliams such as "Your Cheatin' Heart", "Lovesick Blues", and many more as the audience thrills to the interpretation by Penrod in his 1-1/2 hour concert.

Tickets are $35 per person and available at Blessings Gift Shop, 903-665-3895 or by calling 903-665-2310.
