Glass Center to host dance camp

Youth 8-18 years are eligible to participate.

The Glass Recreation Center and Fly Kids, Inc. will host a hip-hop dance camp Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23. Youth 8-18 years are eligible to participate in this dance camp instructed by professional teachers from the touring hip-hop Fly Dance Company.

The camp will take place daily from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Lunches, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at the center; water will be provided. Cost is $95 per student or $75 each for two or more students.

Campers will learn a dance form that incorporates break dancing, hip-hop dance and theatrical Broadway-style dance. Professional dance instructor and choreographer Kathy Wood leads the Fly Kids Dance Troupe. Ms. Wood has trained many dancers who have gone on to tour with dance companies from around the world.
