Body found in Gregg County has been identified
The Longview Police Department has not named any suspects in Williams’s death.
The body of a Longview woman found on July 20, 2010 in Gregg County has been positively identified as 34-year-old Sygunda Yvette Williams.
Fingerprints obtained during an autopsy at the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office were used to confirm Williams’s identity late yesterday afternoon and her family was officially notified last night by investigators.
Longview Police Detectives have reason to believe Williams’s death may have been caused in Longview and are awaiting the official cause of death to be announced. Detectives are currently interviewing family members, friends and associates of Williams and are submitting items for forensic testing.
The Longview Police Department has not named any suspects in Williams’s death.
