Restaurant Review: Einstein Bros Bagels
When I go back I am going to stick to what they do best – bagels and coffee.
My sister and I decided to grab a quick lunch at Einstein Bros Bagels on Saturday. When we arrived, the dining room was pretty crowded, but the line to order food wasn’t too long. Before we ordered we stood to the side for several moments trying to decide what to order. We both had a pretty tough time trying to decide what to get. After much deliberation, I decided on the California Chicken wrap, and my sister had the Vegetable Panini. If anyone decides to go check this place out, I highly recommend taking a look at their menu online first. It was a bit overwhelming for us. The restaurant is set up with a line to order on one side, then you move down the line to pay at the other side. When we got to the checkout we were a little shocked at the price of the food… For the same price you could go to an actual sit down restaurant, instead of a fast-food place like this. The menu and the kitchen area appear nice with delicious looking food on display and a colorful menu, but the dining room area looks just like any fast food restaurant. After we paid, we waited at the drink station for my sister’s latte, then we found an empty table and took a seat and waited for our food. And waited. And waited. It took a good 15-20 minutes for them to assemble our sandwiches and bring them out. Once we finally got the food, I was disappointed by the lackluster presentation. My wrap had been just placed in a paper-lined basket with a pickle spear and looked like a giant burrito. It wasn’t even sliced down the middle. It tasted pretty good, but I don’t think I would order it again.
Even though my experience here wasn’t the best, I would definitely be open to giving Einstein another chance. I learned a couple of things from my first visit. When I go back I am going to stick to what they do best – bagels and coffee. Also, I want to mention that they do offer free Wi-Fi, so that’s a plus. Hopefully after my next visit to Einstein I will be able to report back with a much better review.
