Longview Police Launch New Community Outreach Program

More meetings to be held around the city.

LONGVIEW — On February 23, 2012, Longview Police will launch a new program called “Coffee with a Cop.” Our goal is to provide citizens the opportunity to sit down with local officers and ask questions. “This is only the first meeting. We plan to do one in every beat around the City”, says Police Chief Don Dingler. The Police Department is committed to serving the citizens in our community and this is just one more opportunity to be able to do that. Unfortunately, many times citizens have questions about the law, neighborhood issues, etc., but don’t necessarily have the opportunity to have an “open dialogue” with a police officer.

This Coffee with a Cop event will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Chik-fil-A located at Gilmer Road and Loop 281.
