Performance Series brings world-class entertainment to East Texas.
LONGVIEW LeTourneau University’s S. E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center recently announced its 2012-2013 Performance Series lineup featuring nine shows. The series is now in its sixth season.
This year’s Performance Series features concerts by The Midtown Men, Michael Bolton, the California and Montreal Guitar Trios, music of Buddy Holly, the clean comedy of Sinbad, the drama “Of Mice and Men” and musical theatre including “Shrek the Musical” and “Fiddler on the Roof,” plus a special season event presentation of Celtic Woman.
This year also marks the third year of the School and Family Series, featuring programs for all ages including a two-part performance that includes “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Tortoise & the Hare,” as well as a stunning performance of classically trained violinists known as Black Violin.
The entire 2012-2013 Belcher Center season is underwritten by Martin Midstream Partners. Marquee sponsors include Transet and Network Communications, with each show sponsored by other generous donors.
Season tickets are now on sale. Back by popular demand is the “Build Your Own Season” option of getting discounts on ticket packages for five, six, seven or eight shows. Purchasing eight shows provides a 15% discount. Discounts are not available online, so event package purchases must be made at the box office or by phone at 903-233-3080 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Individual tickets will go on sale for all shows Aug. 1.
