Houston Police Hunt for Picasso Vandal
A bystander posted a video.
A vandal spray-painted a bull, a bullfighter, and “conquista” on the Pablo Picasso painting “Woman in a Red Armchair” at the Menil Collection in Houston. Within minutes of being tagged, the painting was rushed to the museum’s conservation lab, and the museum’s chief conservator has been working on it since the event. A bystander posted a video of the incident to YouTube, which has some wondering if there were multiple people involved in the incident. It is still unclear when the painting will be returned for public display.
