It was a beautiful day, with pleasant temperatures, great wine and good music.

— Wine in the Pines featured 11 Texas wineries offering tasting and wine for sale, along with 17 merchandise vendors on the square in Mount Vernon. The event kicked off on Friday, October 26 and I was there Saturday.

It was a beautiful day, with pleasant temperatures, great wine and good music.

Admission was free and guests could purchase tastings for $1 each or a glass for $5, or by the bottle. Food and crafts vendors were also present.

Music was provided by Loretta Callens along with Randy Hamilton and David Hawkins.
