Symphony kicks off new season with Beethoven bash
Benefit drawing includes chance to win a pair of Macie Bean boots.
The East Texas Symphony Orchestra will host a "Beethoven, Boots and Blue Jeans" party to launch their 2012-2013 season at Rick's on the Square, September 18.
Guests can enjoy barbeque and beer, entertainment from The Magills, and a chance to meet new ETSO Music Director Richard Lee.
Then they'll head to Liberty Hall at 7:30 pm for a special screening of "Immortal Beloved." The film stars Gary Oldman as Ludwig van Beethoven in a story about the composer's life and the search to identify the secret love who inspired his work.
A set of 5 tickets to the benefit drawing may be purchased, for $20, for the chance to win a pair of Macie Bean boots courtesy of Rios of Mercedes. The winner will receive a gift certificate good for a pair of boots in any size and style that is currently available in stock. The winning ticket will be drawn following the screening of "Immortal Beloved" at Liberty Hall on September 18. Entrants need not be present to win. Proceeds benefit the East Texas Symphony Orchestra.
